Distributor Stock FAQ


Q) How does it work?

DistributorStock.com is a new marketplace created with the explicit goal of identifying Distributor shelf stock closest to YOU. We recognize that you need items, but you can’t always get on the phone or surf the web to check stock at every distributor within a reasonable distance from your house. We also recognize that there are a lot of shady e-tailers out there, so here’s what we’ve done:

1. enter your zip code (or the zip code of the location you’d like your item shipped to)
2. Search for your Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, or other industrial item in our search box - either by using the manufacturer’s part number or description. DistributorStock.com lists available Quantity on Hand - populating REAL distributors that have shelf stock - in order by shipping proximity to your location.
3. You choose from where and how you want it shipped, and the product ships directly from the distributor to you!

Q) How do you decide on the Selling Price?

Selling Prices are set at manufacturer’s published Trade Pricing or MSRP, whichever is more advantageous to the purchaser. The price for each item is the SAME from every distributor, so you gain the benefit of having to choose only based on proximity.

Q) Why is buying from DistributorStock.com important?

Our goal is to create a viable marketplace specifically for small-to-medium sized wholesalers to compete in E-Commerce, while not threatening the core business that has maintained them for generations. Your purchasing dollars support this marketplace AND the small business owners that supply them, while not de-valuing the products they sell with a 'race to the bottom' on pricing.

Q) How are items shipped?

All items default to ship by UPS Ground, unless otherwise specified by the purchaser during check-out. Oversized items that must be shipped by Common Carrier may require a different charge that is not calculated at checkout. Upon transaction completion, a team member will contact you to settle shipping at the most advantageous price for the customer.

Q) What is your Return Policy?

Please contact us at cs@distributorstock.com to generate return paperwork. As DistributorStock is a marketplace with no inventory, there is a re-stocking charge associated with all items that are not defective.

Q) What if i receive an item that is not in acceptable condition?

Please inspect your items thoroughly immediately upon receipt. If you find that your item is defective, please contact cs@distributorstock.com to generate return paperwork. Upon inspection, credit will be remitted accordingly.

Q) What if i ordered the wrong product?

Please contact cs@distributorstock.com to generate return paperwork. You will be responsible for the return shipping cost, and DistributorStock will provide the correct return address for the material. Upon confirmed receipt, DistributorStock will provide a credit minus the appropriate re-stocking fee

Do you ship Internationally?

We do not currently ship Internationally via our normal checkout process. However, please enter your overseas address and a team member will contact you shortly after checkout to arrange shipment directly to your USA freight forwarder, or offer a shipping rate directly to your address. DistributorStock.com currently requires funds payment in advance of shipment (by wire transfer) for International orders.
